CARTHAGE, Mo. — Six Star Football held its first ever Camp & Combine on Sunday in Carthage, Mo., drawing more than 300 athletes from Missouri, Oklahoma and Kansas.
Here, we take a look at several 2020 DBs who raised their profile at the event.
41 — Anthony Blau, 5’6, 134, CB/WR, 2022, Collinsville @echo4bravo0311
40 — 5.00 … Broad 8’1 … Short Shuttle 4.75 … Power Ball 25’8
One of the many Collinsville Cardinals that attended our 6Star Combine, we like the potential of the young and talented Blau, a two-way player that has the ability to make and impact for his team as a CB/WR. We feel that Blau will be a player in the mix for playing time in the Cards talented skill set positions over the next few years. Expect some nice potential from this young group of athletes at Collinsville.
42 — Anthony Bonner III, 5’8, 160, DB, 2021, Midwest City @Anthonybonner24
40 — 4.88 … Broad 8’6 … Short Shuttle 4.78 … Power Ball 33’4
One of the more athletic looking DB’s at the 6Star Combine, Bonner will look to continue to make a big name for himself in the seasons to come and a big one, his junior season is upon the horizon. Bonner is player that has some good cover speed and plays physical man to man coverage for the Bombers. A player that we feel could have a very big impact this season and one that was thrown into the mix some as a sophomore in 2018.
46 — Caleb Caylao, 6’1, 195, S, 2021, Union @Caleb_caylao
40 — 4.81 … Broad 8’9.5 … Short Shuttle 4.41 … Power Ball 38’9
One of the better looking athletes in the DB class at 6Star, Caylao will look to use his athletic skills to make an impact on an always very talented Union secondary unit in 2019. Caylao tested very well at 6Star with three top five rankings among OK DBs. Caleb was second in the powerball (38’9), finished fourth in the shuttle (4.41), and was fifth in the broad jump (8’9.5). You have to like all the athletic ability that Caylao brings to the table and expect him to see quality reps in a very talented secondary unit this season.
148 — Caden Davis, 5’11, 180, FS/WR, 2021, Bartlesville @CadenDavis5_
40 —4.78 … Broad 8’1.5 … Short Shuttle 4.53 … Power Ball 35’10
Davis is part of the many talented young Bruins that attended the 6Star Combine and we like what we saw in this young up and coming prospect who also tested very well and was among the top 5 in both the powerball (35’10) fourth among OK DBs and the 40 yard dash (4.78) fifth overall among OK DBs. We like the two-way standouts chances of being a nice impact player on both sides of the ball for Bartlesville.
155 — Cedrik Frazier, 6’2, 185, CB/WR, 2020, Stillwater @cedrik_frazier
40 — 4.97 … Broad 8’10 … Short Shuttle 4.56 … Power Ball 34’4
One of the most athletically gifted and talented secondary men in Oklahoma and a camp stud, was recently offered by Oklahoma Baptist and we expect several schools to start lining up for his services at the next level. Frazier was fourth in the broad jump among all OK DBs with a distance of 8’10. We like his overall full package skill set and his a coverage man that really blankets his man well and reacts to the ball very well.
162 — Kobe Holley, 6’1, 185, DB/LS, 2020, Stillwater @KobeHolley
40 — 5.00 … Broad 8’11.5 … Short Shuttle 4.96 … Power Ball 35’3
Holley is a player you can’t get on the field enough and one that always is around the football and one that can make the difference in winning and losing a game. He has a lot of natural talent and skills and is a true football player that plays hard and gives it his all. On a deeply talented Stillwater program Holley will be in the thick of things to make this team all the better and make a name for himself in his senior campaign. Holley is also one of the finest athletes we had attend our combine and tested out very high with a mark of 8’11.5 in the broad jump, good for third best among out OK DBs and was fifth overall in the powerball (35’3) among all Oklahoma DB’s at 6Star.
56 — Marsayon Johnson, 5’8, 160, CB/RB, 2020, Broken Arrow
40 — 4.63 … Broad 8’7 … Short Shuttle 4.22 … Power Ball 37’2
Fresh off a team’s big time season and state title, Johnson is a good athlete that will look to put his name and hat in the mix for quality time at DB for the Tigers. Marsayon really did an outstanding job at the combine and proved he was one of the elite athletes at the combine. It’s hard to argue how he measures up when he records the top DB time among OK players with a 4.22 in the shuttle and the second fastest 40 yard dash time (4.63), also his powerball (37.2) was third best among all Oklahoma DBs.
84 — Declan Jones, 6’0, 170, DB/WR, 2021, NOAH @_declanjones0
40 — 4.88 … Broad 8’9 … Short Shuttle 4.50 … Power Ball 30’8
Noah’s got something very special in Declan Jones, a DB that is also a gifted WR and really can play all over the field and make a big impact for a NOAH team that knows how to win the big games. Jones is Mr. Versatility and can be a player that makes his impact felt time and time again. Declan should be one of the standouts and a future college prospect on the very solid Noah team.
59 — Hayden Keeter, 5’10, 155, DB/WR, 2020, Catoosa @Hkthagoat
40 — 4.82 … Broad 8’4 … Short Shuttle 4.50 … Power Ball 28’4
Keeter was an exciting player to watch this past season and knows how to run a good route and shows his hands are ready for the test. Keeter was on a Catoosa team that has some good weapons and is a player that is a two-way baller and can make his name known on both sides of the ball. Keeter is a player that can make big things happen and is capable of being a go to player for a Catoosa team that’s on the rise.
175 — Garrick Martin, 6’2, 175, DB/QB, 2020, Stillwater @garrick_martin
40 — 4.75 … Broad 9’5 … Short Shuttle 4.32 … Power Ball 31’2
One of the athletes at the 6Star combine that we would label as a Premier talent, Martin should project as one of the better DB’s in Oklahoma for the 2020 class. He proved he was no joke at 6Star by recording the top broad jump mark (9’5), the second best shuttle (4.43) and the third best 40 yard dash time (4.75) among all Oklahoma DBs. Martin also has a great frame and body for a DB at 6-2, 175 and was one of the bigger DB’s at the 6Star Combine.
182 — Alex Nabavi, 6’0, 170, CB/WR, 2020, Cashion @alexnabavi13
40 — 4.75 … Broad 7’11 … Short Shuttle 4.43 … Power Ball 33’1
Coming back on a loaded Cashion club is the talented two way player and CB star Alex Nabavi, a player that really showed he was one of the top DBs at the 6Star Combine. Reacts quickly to balls and has the ability to put himself in a good position to make pics and plays on the football. Also one of the standout athletes at the camp, Nabavi tested out excellent with a 4.75 in the 40, third best among out OK DBs and his 4.43 shuttle was a mark good for fifth best among OK DBs. Big upside and playing potential, Nabavi is a player you will have to take notice of for 2019.
75 — Joey Rigby, 5’6, 155, DB/RB, 2022, Collinsville @joey72081539
40 — 5.09 … Broad 7’1 … Short Shuttle 4.81 … Power Ball 27’8
Rigby is one of the talented up and comers from a Collinsville club that has several players in the 2022 class fighting for playing time this upcoming season. He plays very hard and is a player that will put his name in the mix for a talented Cards backfield in the 2019 season.
80 — KeJuan Tolbert, 5’9, 180, CB, 2020, Broken Arrow @king_keke24
40 — 4.45 … Broad 9’3 … Short Shuttle 4.34 … Power Ball 41’6
Tolbert is a huge prospect and one can see why with his overall total package. KeJuan is a leader of the Broken Arrow defensive secondary and was in the top five among all four categories for Oklahoma DB’s at the 6Star Combine. Tolbert had the top 40 yard dash time among all OK DBs (4.45), a rocket speed guy, and also showed out with the top power ball mark among OK DBs (41’6), Clearly a fast and explosive player, Colbert should be looked at be lots of colleges for his skillset. His broad jump was second best among OK DBs (9’3) and his shuttle was third best (4.34). A total package player that can do it all, Tolbert is one incredible athlete that will be offered by lots of schools as the season moves along. He is one of those very special players that stands out in a crowd.
